A Visit with Old Friends

This week myself and the boys went and visited with Betty Hardy and her two girls, Emma Kate 

and Sophie Jane.  Emma is 10 weeks younger than Clay and Sophie is about two 

weeks younger than Cason.  We had a great time catching up and chasing the kids.  

(Betty's husband was out of town on a mission's trip.)  I am thankful that the Lord 

put Betty and I together when he did.  We will always have a life long friendship and bond. 

Getting back in to the swing of things.

It has been over a year since I posted anything on here and of course there have been lots of changes.  Clay has lost his curls and Cason is running wide open and trying to talk.  We are now in summer time mode and are looking forward to heading to the beach with my family.  It is our chance to re-connect and spend time with each other that we miss through out the year because we live so far apart. 

This is just a practice post.  I hope to put up more pictures while we are out of town so other family, Grandmother especially, can see what is going on while we are away. 

The format of Blogspot has changed a good bit so I am glad I decided to play around with it for a minute.

Spring Break!

Spring Break included a quick trip to Florida to visit family. I couldn't decide which of the group shots were the best, so I published a bunch of them. The foursome had to pose for a picture and say "cheese" before they could hunt eggs. Cason stuck his tongue out for most of them. Grandmother, even though she just had back surgery about 6 weeks ago, is doing well and was able to hold the baby. There are some pictures of Cason enjoying his walker and also after bath time. All of these kids are just growing way too fast. Enjoy the pictures!

Growing Boys

Pictures taken March 24, 2012. Cason will be 6 months on the 2nd and Clay was 3 in January. Time is passing way too quickly. We are blessed.

New Year's Eve Cookout

On New Year's Eve Grandaddy, Meme, Ellen, and Clara came over for a cookout. We cooked hotdogs and marshmallows over an open fire. It was delicious! Of course the kids did a little cooking and more playing. It was a great way to bring in the New Year. And no, we didn't stay up till midnight. Ellen and Clara below sharing a swing ride.

While Brad was hunting, Grandaddy was the official campfire keeper. Clara was his main assistant.

Ellen and Clay preferred riding the golf cart. Cason was napping during this time.



Ellen said this was a first for them.





Smore time. What is a smore? A roasted marshmallow smashed between a piece of Hershey chocolate bar and two graham crackers. Yummy.

Wednesday's activities

Wednesday. Ellen went with Meme to her school so Meme could get some work done. She got a school tour and had fun while Meme worked. Clara went to Aunt Tracy and Uncle Brad's house during this time to play with Clay and Cason. They took ornaments off the Christmas tree, rode the Gator, and had other fun too. Meme and Ellen came back to Aunt Tracy's for lunch and then they headed home for nap. After nap, Clay and Cason went over to Meme's to play. The big kids and Grandaddy went to the park, then dinner, playtime, and baths.

Ellen peeled 2 tangeloes and created some art with it on the tray before eating it.
